MY STORY

I began practicing Tai Chi, Kung Fu,
Bagua, and Yoga in 2005 during a very
difficult time in my life. Training in these
arts gave me both strength and healing
when I needed it the most.
In 2006, I attended my first seminar with Master Yang Jun, which became a turning point in my journey. That experience set me on the path of dedicated study and teaching within the Yang Family Tai Chi tradition.
In 2008, I became the youngest person to host a seminar with Master Yang Jun, an experience that further strengthened my connection to the Yang Family lineage. Around that same time, I managed a local yoga studio and completed my second yoga teacher training, expanding my knowledge of movement, alignment, and body awareness.
Over the next several years, I traveled across the country to train with Master Yang and deepen my understanding of the art. I also lived and taught Tai Chi and Yoga in Puerto Rico before moving across the country with my husband to train directly under Grandmaster Yang Jun and Nancy Lucero in Seattle. That chapter of my life profoundly shaped who I am as a teacher, grounded in lineage, guided by compassion, and devoted to meeting students where they are.
A few years later, my path took an unexpected turn.
After an emergency C-section, I had to rebuild my strength and confidence, both physically and mentally. Just as I began to recover, I broke my foot in a surfing accident, and not long after, a car accident tore my shoulder and aggravated old neck injuries from a crash when I was sixteen. Through all of it, Tai Chi has been the steady path that helped me heal, rebuild, and rediscover my strength.
These experiences gave me a deep understanding of pain, resilience, and the power of gentle movement. They taught me that healing is about listening to your body and honoring what it can do today.
Today, after twenty years of practice and teaching, I help adults navigate aging, injury recovery, and stress through mindful, safe, and restorative movement. We may not move like we used to, but we can still move, and that is where healing begins.
MY APPROACH
Alignment first for safe, pain-free movement.
Breath-led pacing to calm the mind and release tension.
Compassionate progress for every body, at every stage.
My classes are designed to build balance, posture, and peace from the inside out. Whether you’re rebuilding after injury, easing chronic pain, or simply looking to move with more freedom, my focus is always on creating space for you to move confidently, safely, and joyfully.
